A construction company specializing in constructing with wood wanted a way to better visualize the outcome of their different configurations of carports. The end product should show a 3D representation of the chosen configurations.
After checking available resources and libraries, it was decided by the company I worked at, that the library x3dom would be a good fit. The 3d models were delivered by the construction company, the textures were taken from free to use resources. I UV mapped the received models and applied the textures to them. The user interface for the prototype was created with jQuery.
Goals:
- Browse and modify Carport designs in 3D
- Save configuration and contact the company for a price offer
